PCI DSS SAQ

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) is a critical first step in the PCI compliance process. PCI DSS have released the SAQ to help merchants who accept credit card payments identify risk areas and to help keep digital transactions secure. The purpose of the SAQ is to assist organizations in self-evaluating compliance with the PCI DSS. Contrary to popular belief, SSL implementation no longer satisfies the PCI DSS requirements.

The PCI DSS SAQ is a validation tool for qualifying merchants and service providers that are neither required to undergo an on-site data security assessment nor to submit a report on compliance (ROC).

The following chart will help you determine which PCI DSS SAQ best applies to your organization depending on payment method and annual transaction volume.
